How has COVID affected me personally?

The end of my school year went downhill once the coronavirus started. In mid-March, the Aurora City Schools announced that we would be off for 3 weeks with some online learning during the 3rd week. At first, I was excited to be off of school for a while, but then I found it to be no fun at all. During that time, I tried to do some things to keep myself occupied while being in quarantine like doing puzzles, riding my bike, and playing with my circuits.

As the COVID cases continued to expand, I knew that my senior year was not going to end as I expected. I thought I would be back in school before the year ends, but it never happened since the COVID was still increasing. I'm a senior in high school, and this was supposed to be the best year for me. I was looking forward to having my graduation and going to prom, but it looks like prom might be cancelled, and my graduation is going to be virtual. Whenever I get lonely, I try to get in contact with my friends by using Snapchat, Google Hangouts, and Zoom. I also look at some of my old yearbooks for memories, but it was not the same.

These changes are difficult for me because COVID makes me feel isolated and alone. I know I'm supposed to stay indoors, but most days I feel as if I'm home alone with no one around. Luckily, I've been keeping track of how the cases are doing and listening to what might happen in the future.
